Why Upgrade to Type L?
The OEM or stock regulator is generally fine for factory or mildly modified applications, but once you’ve boosted pump output or installed larger injectors the stock unit often becomes a bottleneck. The Type L is explicitly recommended for “very high hp applications (380 hp + and large fuel needs)”. 

Applications & Ideal Use

  • High‐boost turbo setups or racing engines where fuel demands are significantly higher than stock

  • Engines with upgraded injectors & fuel pumps, or conversions that require more fuel flow

Installation Notes

  • Ensure plumbing is correctly configured: inlet from fuel rail, outlet back to tank, vacuum signal to regulator. Some systems may need adaptors or custom brackets. 

  • Pressure must be set and verified with a reliable gauge (not included) before full load tuning.

  • Although described as "universal", confirm you have correct thread sizes and fittings for your vehicle’s fuel system.

  • Not always compatible with E85 setups — check fitment for alcohol/meth use.
